How do I get my medical cannabis card in Utah?

What are the approved medical conditions in Utah?

Individuals with the following conditions are authorized under the Utah Medical Cannabis Act to receive a medical cannabis patient card:

  1. HIV or acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS)
  2. Alzheimer’s disease
  3. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
  4. Cancer
  5. Cachexia
  6. Persistent nausea that is not significantly responsive to traditional treatment except for nausea related to: pregnancy, cannabis-induced cyclical vomiting syndrome, or CBD hyperemesis syndrome
  7. Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis
  8. Epilepsy or debilitating seizures
  9. Multiple sclerosis or debilitating muscle spasms
  10. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) that is being treated and monitored by a mental health therapist and that: has been diagnosed by a health care provider or mental health provider by the VA and documented in the patient’s record; or has been diagnosed or confirmed by evaluation by a psychiatrist, doctorate psychologist, a doctorate licensed clinical social worker, or a psych APRN
  11. Autism
  12. Terminal illness when the patient’s remaining life expectancy is less than 6 months
  13. Condition resulting in the individual receiving hospice care
  14. Rare condition or disease that affects less than 200,000 individuals in the U.S., as defined in federal law and this is not adequately managed despite treatment attempts using conventional medications (other than opioids or opiates) or physical interventions
  15. Pain lasting longer than two weeks that is not adequately managed, in the qualified medical provider’s opinion, despite treatment attempts using conventional medications other than opioids or opiates or physical interventions
  16. If a patient does not have a qualifying condition specifically named, they may petition the Compassionate Use Board for approval of their medical cannabis card.

Where can I get delivery?

How do I place a delivery order?

To place an order sign in to your Wholesome account. If you don't have an account yet, register now. If delivery is available in your area, you'll see an "Order Delivery" button. Tap that button to start your order.

Can my order be delivered to somewhere other than my home address?

We can only deliver to the home address on file in the states Electronic-Verification-System (EVS). Please make sure your delivery address is up to date there. If your address is incorrect in EVS, email medicalcannabis@utah.gov to request a change.

How do I reschedule or cancel my delivery?

In the event you need to cancel or reschedule your delivery, please contact delivery support as soon as possible.

Can someone else accept my delivery for me?

Only the patient or licensed caregiver is allowed to accept the delivery. The patient or the licensed caregiver must be home at the selected time and present a government-issued ID.

Can I edit my delivery order once it's been placed?

Once your delivery order has been placed you cannot make changes. If a change is needed you must cancel your delivery and place your order again.

What payment methods can I use for delivery?

We accept Visa and Mastercard debit cards as well as Hypur. We cannot accept cash for deliveries.

For debit: Just select debit during checkout and your driver will collect payment at your door. You'll be required to enter your debit card PIN #, please ensure funds are available. We cannot accept gift cards, H&R block, or HSA cards.

For Hypur: You will be asked to sign up or link your Hypur account during checkout. When we start preparing your delivery order, you’ll receive a text from Hypur with a link to enter your 4 digit PAC code. Payment is not complete until you complete this step. What should I expect the day of my delivery?

You’ll receive a text notifying you when the delivery driver has arrived. The agent will be in a discreet, unmarked vehicle and wearing a lanyard with their WholesomeCo Courier Agent ID tags.

Please meet the driver at the door of your home or building and be ready to present your medical card (physical or digital copy) and government issued photo ID (state ID card / driver's license or a United States passport / passport card) for verification.

What Covid-19 precautions do delivery drivers take?

WholesomeCo Delivery Agents adhere to COVID-19 precautions and guidelines to ensure the safety of our patients, staff, and our community.

You can count on us to be wearing a mask during delivery, as well as sanitizing hands and high touch surfaces in the vehicle between stops.
